VMMA/East West Karate Family Martial Arts & Fitness is pleased to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Saturday, May 19 with family-friendly races and activities for adults and children of all ages! Young children chase the ninja in an UNTIMED 100 meter Tiny Tiger Trot, and finish their ninja adventure with a fun fitness obstacle course. Kids and Adults may choose to race in an UNTIMED 1-mile or 5K Run/Walk and put the fun in fundraiser, proceeds going to assisting families of children with cancer. Schedule of Events 8am Same-Day Registration and Warm-Up 9am Tiny Tigers Trot (100m Dash and Fitness Obstacle Course) 9:15am 1 mile Walk/Run 9:30am 5K Fun Run Stay for the post-race after party! Face Painting! Agility Challenges! Food! Puzzles! Games! Music! This is a 100% for-charity event, open to the public, and not restricted to only our Martial Arts students. We encourage additional family members and community members to take part in this worthy cause to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! Participants may be of all ages and athletic abilities. Even if you aren't a seasoned runner, it doesn't matter. This untimed 1-mile and 5K is more about community, fun and giving back to children in our local community. So walk, skip, jog or run through the paved trails of Warminster Community Park and celebrate after your race with food and music. The goal of VMMA / East West Karate Family Martial Arts & Fitness is to develop strong bodies and strong minds through fitness-oriented practical self-defense training. Our Modern Martial Arts program for children and adults focus on core self-defense training and character development. A positive mental attitude is necessary for obtaining any goal, big or small, and we encourage an “I can do it” attitude in a fun and exciting approach. This charity run is designed to support the ideals of this Martial Arts mindset: to try your best, accomplish any goal, and of course, have fun!
