You’re invited to join us for Child Guidance's 6th annual Superhero Run for Prevention 5k! The race takes place on the beautiful, closed campus of Williamson College of the Trades over road and brick. Designed both for serious runners and families who want to stroll for a great cause, we have separate runner and walker courses. The event is superhero themed (come as your favorite hero!), is dog friendly, kid friendly, stroller and wheel-chair accessible and a fantastic way to spend the morning with your friends and family. We will have Kids Dashes at 8:45 am followed by kids' awards and then the 5k and 1 mile begin promptly at 9:00. All participants will receive a tek-tee shirt along with their swag bag. There are awards for the top three finishers in each age group and prizes for the top three finishers overall and the captain of the top fundraising team. Before, during and after the race will also have a Wellness Fair and raffle. Come join us for a morning filled with music, a costume theme, refreshments, and more! Everyone is welcome! If you'd like to create a team, grab 6 or more of your closest friends and get your team name on the back of the t-shirt! Register as a team (you'll be asked to create a team or join an existing team on the registration page). You can run and/or fundraise as a team. New this year is a prize for the captain of the top fundraising team (fundraising teams can even be a team of 1)! Please call Tiiu Lutter at 484-454-8744 if you are having any difficulties. All proceeds from this event will directly support families in southeastern Pennsylvania with addiction, mental health, and behavioral health needs. Join us to promote drug and alcohol awareness and raise funds to provide therapeutic care for children and families. With your support, we can work towards our goal to provide every child with a safe, sober home and comprehensive, affordable behavioral and mental healthcare. Together, we can change the lives of thousands of families and provide them with the support they deserve! This event is coordinated by Child Guidance Resource Centers and partially funded by the Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health, Division of Drug and Alcohol.
