Our Mission is to provide hope to the impoverished with food, clothing & education, which allows us to transform the community of Rhode Island by serving, restoring and blessing the lives of those in need. We currently operate 5 Programs. Food 4 Life: Our Food Truck, which is well known in the Providence, Cranston & Woonsocket areas, is out feeding those in need on the streets and in shelters 7 days per week. Nightly and on Saturday mornings our Food Truck will have a line of people waiting for freshly prepared food donated or provided by many of Rhode Island’s most popular Businesses. Additionally, we have a Food Pantry for those individuals and families in need to augment their existing food budget. Adopt-A-Block: The purpose of Adopt-A-Block is to build relationships with the communities we serve by identifying an area that needs attention then working to restore it through community action. By working together with local volunteers and other organizations we have restored the Smith Street Playground and Beachmont Basketball Court in Cranston. In the spring 2018 our volunteers and the City of Cranston, will be building a Dog Park in the Cranston area. Our goal is to move across the state of Rhode Island, one block at a time; build relationships within communities to clean and restore their neighborhoods. Additionally, monthly we visit Charlesgate Assisted Living facility in Providence to provide encouragement with social interaction with its residents. Early Seekers: Provides food and clothing to those who are experiencing homelessness at Kennedy Plaza and Crossroads Shelter on Saturdays. They provide 300+ bagged lunches and distribute donated clothing, toiletries, and other items each week. Reaching Higher: We are currently in the process of opening an educational center that will work with the impoverished by teaching classes on financial responsibility, English as a second language, computer skills, resume writing, interview preparation as well as job searches and housing searches. I Need U 2 Survive: We partner with local hair salons that donate their time, energy and products to provide makeovers for women who normally could not afford such services. The salon volunteers their services and the women receive haircuts, styling and much more. This helps build self-esteem. Nothing compares to the glow on their faces as they leave the salon ready to face the world. This does wonders for letting them all know what wonderful people they are!
