ABOUT THE RACE

2024 Registration opens in January! Don't miss early bird pricing! Explore San Carlos' outstanding trail system as a runner in the second annual No Foolin' Foot Race! The No Foolin' Foot Race offers a challenging 5k (~530ft of climbing) and 10k (~1,500ft of climbing) course through Big Canyon and Eaton Parks. Start and Finish Festival at Crestview Park. This year, we're excited to include a <1 mile course (~350ft of climbing) for children ages 6-12! Professional timing; Tech-Ts and runner photos for all participants; Awards in multiple categories. All proceeds benefit maintenance and improvement of San Carlos Trails. Brought to you by the Parks and Recreation Foundation of San Carlos and the City of San Carlos. Course Description Winding and forested single-track packed with punchy hills and tight turns gives way to rewarding views of San Francisco, Mt. Diablo and the Bay. Don’t miss this chance to experience Big Canyon and Eaton Parks at their most verdant. Start and Finish Festival at Crestview Park. The 5K route is exclusively trail; our 10K route includes some pavement (approximately ¾ mile) on Brittan Ave. The kids course is exclusively trail – roughly 8/10 mile with 350ft of climbing. Children will step off at 8:15A and have 45min to complete the course. This will be a big challenge for many youngsters! It is appropriate for children 6+ with some running experience. Children may run accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parent or guardian must be present in Crestview Park or on course at all times during the event. No child care will be provided. Follow links above for detailed course map. Registration Information Register by Feb. 6 for 'early bird' pricing! 5k: $40 ($50 after Feb. 6). 10k: $50 ($60 after Feb. 6). If you make a turn and don’t see green or white course markings, do 10 jumping jacks, then go back and find the course! Yellow trail spray and caution tape is also utilized to block trails that are NOT part of the course. Course monitors will be stationed throughout both parks to help you with tricky intersections.
