Come out and enjoy the beautiful Okehocking Reserves during our 5K Run/Walk in Newtown Square. Wear your Most Outrageous Hat, for this fun run. Win medals in many different categories. Have fun for a worthy cause, while help children and families in the region now and for generations to come. Lace up your running shoes and have fun for a worthy cause! If you are a serious runner, novice, or just want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Okehocking Preserve, come out and have FUN. You can also WIN a medal for the fastest in category or WIN a contest for the most outrageous HAT during our first MAD HATTER MARCH 5K -- all while supporting the Newtown Square Rotary Foundation which funds College Scholarships for graduating Seniors and donates to families and communities in need locally, regionally, and across the globe with Rotary International. Rotary.org and NewtownSquareRotary.org YES 100% of your registration is Charity! So your fun run goes straight to the community. Event check-in will open at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K run will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. The 5K walk will start promptly 9:15 a.m. Free parking and easy check-in for chipped bids to track and chart your time. At the end of the race we will present medals to all winners in each gender and age group categories along with the winners of Most Outrageous Hat. The Crazier The Better! Event Tee-Shirts are included with check in, but We Strongly Encourage you to wear the largest and most colorful hat and More! FAQs Where do I park? There will be free self parking. Parking Guides will direct you toward the designated parking areas off of (Route 3) West Chester Pike entrance. Do students and seniors receive a discount? Yes, all current middle school, high school, and college students will receive a discount all will all seniors. Free admission for all participates under 10 yrs old or over 80yrs years young. Minors must be accompanied by an adult (at least one chaperone per 10 minors). SAFETY FIRST. Safety, Risk, and Health waivers must be signed by all before participating in Run/Walk. Do I have to wear a crazy Hat to the Run/Walk? No. You can wear your regular running or walking apparel or event tee-shirt given at registration. If you want to have fun wear a fun Hat. A prize will go to the winner of the most Outrageous Hat. Do I have to bring the printed ticket to check in? No. but, if you bring the printed ticket it will help make your registration process easier and faster. Can I volunteer? Yes. There are plenty of opportunities to help before, during, and after the event. Just register as a volunteer and our volunteer coordinator will contact you within 48hrs to go over the details. If I don't want to run or walk can I donate? Yes. Just register and pick donate and enter any amount your desire. All ticket registrations, donations, and sponsorship for this event are considered charitable donations and tax deductible. Thank you very much for your support.
