Our team name was inspired by the song that goes, "Step by step the longest march can be won, can be won. Many stones can form an arch, singly none, singly none. . . " FACTS was built by the efforts of lots of people coming together, pulling in the same direction. And the dream of our school is made into a reality every day by the educators, activists, families, students, allies, and donors who share the vision of a school that welcomes in the knowledge, wisdom, and traditions of our families and communities and treats them as the cultural treasures that they are. Join the Step by Step team by signing up to run or making a donation. Funds raised by the 5K support activities and programs that make FACTS unique. For example:

• Purchasing new lion dance heads that will help mark important celebrations such as Lunar New Year and Promotion Day
• Bring African American storytellers to share their stories and cultural traditions with our students
• Expand our library of books that celebrate, affirm, and teach histories and experiences of people of color, immigrants/refugees, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities and other groups that are too often underrepresented.
