As a board member of RSVP, I feel very strongly about the services that our 1500+ volunteers provide to the region. They offer services in many areas including children’s, STEM and adult literacy, help to seniors via Medicare counseling and in-home assistance, mentoring of at-risk youth, aid to area nonprofits by providing free management consulting and by providing volunteers to local hospitals, schools, libraries, social service agencies and many more. Our annual fundraiser, the 12th annual “Run Wild at the Elmwood Park Zoo 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk” will be held on Oct. 15, 2017.
